The Ultimate Siouxland Christmas Lights Road Trip 🎄
What started as a quick social media post and a simple idea to help local families find the best Christmas lights in Siouxland quickly became something much bigger.
In 2024, I put together a Christmas lights route through Siouxland featuring some of the area’s best displays and shared it online as a fun holiday activity for local families.
Within days, it had spread across Siouxland.
Families shared it with friends, community pages picked it up, local news stations covered the story, and thousands of people used the route to create holiday memories with their families.
By 2025, the route had grown even bigger.
New homes were added, displays became more elaborate, and what started as a 15 minute idea turned into an annual tradition that many families now look forward to every holiday season.
Today, many people throughout Siouxland know me as “the Christmas lights route Realtor,” and honestly, that’s a title I’m pretty proud of.
What Is The Ultimate Siouxland Christmas Lights Road Trip?
The route is a curated driving tour featuring some of the best Christmas light displays throughout:
• Le Mars
• Sioux City
• South Sioux City
• Sergeant Bluff
• Surrounding Siouxland communities
The goal has always been simple:
Create an easy to follow route that allows families to pile into the car, grab some hot chocolate, turn on Christmas music, and enjoy an evening together making memories.
